      为广泛联络、团结、凝聚上海海事大学非洲地区校友，发扬“海•汇百川 大•爱相连”的校友精神，增进校友与母校之间、校友与校友之间的合作交流，共筑上海海事大学在非洲的温馨校友港湾，上海海事大学校友会决定筹建上海海事大学非洲校友会。

      如您在非洲工作、学习、生活，或在外地工作的非洲籍校友均可入会。请将姓名、入学年、专业、联系方式、工作单位、职务等信息进行在线登记，校友会将与您取得联系。

现拟定于2018年下半年举行上海海事大学非洲校友会成立大会，恭请入会校友届时参加。希望广大校友积极宣传，大力支持非洲校友会筹建工作。

      为更好的推进校友会的筹建工作，拟成立上海海事大学非洲校友会的筹备组，请各位校友积极自荐、他荐，凡热心校友工作，具备一定参与时间和工作精力的校友均可推荐。

      上海海事大学校友企业家联合会预计在2018年底组织考察团抵达非洲进行交流活动，届时望广大非洲校友积极参与，共同推进校友会发展。

Dear Alumna/Alumnus,

For getting in touch closely and widely, carrying on the spirit of “the sea embracing hundreds of rivers and great love holding close knit connectivity ”, enhancing the cooperation and communication and creating a warm harbor for alumni in Africa, Shanghai Maritime University Alumni Association has decided to establish Shanghai Maritime University Alumni Association (Africa).

Any Alumna/Alumnus who is working, studying or living in Africa now and any African Alumna/Alumnus working outside Shanghai, China is welcomed to join the association. If you have interest, please register online with your personal information like your name, your major, the year you became a SMUer, company, title as well as contact details, we will make contact with you as soon as possible.

Shanghai Maritime University Alumni Association (Africa) will be established in the second half of 2018 as a branch of SMU Alumni Association. Look forward to reconnecting with old friends and former faculty from your  days in SMU? Please join us to be a member of alumni association and we hope you can support and contribute to the preparation of the African alumni association with sincerity and passion.

In addition, we are planning to set up a preparatory group of SMU Alumni Association（Africa）so as to expedite the preparation. It would be highly appreciated if you could be the one or know someone who is our alumni, with available time and energy, and willing to work for the association, you are the right person we are waiting for and honorable teammate to work with. Please contact us.

Furthermore, Shanghai Maritime University Alumni Entrepreneurs delegations are slated to arrive in Africa for exchange activity at the end of 2018. We hope all the alumni in Africa could take part in it and promote alumni association jointly.
